“Cubist paintings try to somehow grasp the tactile, tangible reality of everything.” — Jonathan Jones
Today is the 125th birthday of Cubism artist, Juan Gris. Or would have been if he was still alive. Being a fan of modern art, I appreciate the unorthodox twist Gris put into his work. Cubism isn’t my pursuit, but designs incorporating straight lines and geometric elements are my joy. I enjoyed this blog post from Jonathan Jones via the UK’s Guardian. Read it! Although jewelry is my chosen canvas, I still love modern art in all its forms.
Have an infinitely modern day!
