You work all the time – toiling and planting. When do you get to reap what you sow? This vacation was my reaping. I planted the seeds, this is what I grew.
Contrast fascinates me. Rough and clean, old and new, organic and structured, dark and light, masculine and feminine. Despite the inherent tension, it all lives at the same time.
What did you want to see reflected in your custom CED piece?
I am a photographer and love clean, minimal designs. I told her I wanted my ring to look like a camera, but only an interpretation, a hint, a feeling, not a literal design. And when people look at my gorgeous ring, they say it looks like a camera. So it is really perfect for me.
Dave Lefner is a wonderful artist at the Brewery where our paths crossed through mutual artist friends and clients. He specializes in reduction linocut printmaking and he’s also become our friend. We first met Steve Lucero, of the LA Artery, at the Brewery Arts Complex where I have my studio. We were looking for a photographer for our Annual Chocolate Martini Soiree and Steve came to the rescue.
