Research shows that plants, gardens, and even the act of gardening are good for your health. With benefits such as: reducing stress levels, accelerate recovery from illness, help to calm you, increase your pain tolerance and could even possibly extend your life. One small problem with that, I live in the middle of the city therefore, not too many gardens around. Thank goodness for public parks and indoor plants!
Rooftop Gardens
One way I have discovered skirting the no-space-for-a-garden-in-the-city issue is through rooftop gardens. Many apartment buildings have rooftop space available and what better use for it than a garden for all to enjoy? It ends up becoming a little sanctuary for all of us city dwellers. Calm in the midst of chaos, serenity in the storm, peace in the uproar. So if you have some space, some time, and a desire to be healthier, calmer and stress-free you can hire a gardener or create your own garden sanctuary.
Have an infinitely modern day!
