A-Line, princess, empire, column, ball gown and mermaid. Those are typically your choices for wedding dress styles but this year feel free to add avant garde and haute couture to the list.
Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy created an avant garde look that was inspired by Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo and her fascinations with “religion, sensuality and human anatomy.” Complete with Chantilly lace, appliquéd leather and ostrich feathers, Tisci’s designs might be a bit more extreme than what the average bride is looking for but the imagination, the design, the inspiration behind them and the looks themselves are stunning, intense and adventurous.
