July 2007 – JEWELRY TRENDS OF SUMMER 2007
Wearing jewelry as an accessory and to express one’s self is a rising trend here in this fair city. The lines between fashion, fine jewelry, and craft are blurring, as one influences the other, telling the tale that jewelry is a must-have for both men and women. The icons of the gothic and biker cultures are now mainstream, as trendy moms sport bejeweled skulls and cross bones.
June 2007 – The Timeless Tiara
Wedding season is most definitely underway. Love is in the air, bells are ringing, and this year’s bridal fashions are revealing a whole new set of approaches to wedding-day wear. New approaches include short dresses, bold color combinations, hand-painted imagery, and romance to the max. But some things never change. Throughout time, the tiara has remained among the most special pieces, if not the most special in bridal couture. Moreover, tiaras are making their way into everyday fashions, as well.
May 2007 – Unveiling the History of Veils
Wedding season is upon us and with so many brides about to head down the aisle, we recently came upon one who was on a mission to find her ideal wedding veil. Upon opening a sampling of bridal magazines currently on the racks, we discovered that the wedding veil remains an all-important tradition in bridal attire and continues to make a fashion statement all on its own, as compared to other accessories. The story behind the veil is more intriguing than we could have imagined!

April 2007 – At Peace with Canadian Diamonds
Recent requests for stones originating from Canada have led us to investigate the Canadian gemstone market as a potential supplier for CED. Dealing only in non-conflict diamonds, we were thrilled to discover for ourselves the story of Canadian diamonds and the responsible industry thriving around them.

March 2007 – Great Finds in Tucson
It is funny. Ask any editor of any magazine, “What is the next trend?”, and you will get answers from the color purple, yellow or white to wide bangles, large hoop earrings or big rings. “Yellow gold is making a come back.” “The next hottest stone is Jade.” Well, not that we do not like to be informed, but when we go to Tucson, we want to be inspired and come up with something which fits our own aesthetic. At CED, we take trends into consideration, but love to find something different.
