“I think your whole life shows in your face and you should be proud of that.” –Lauren Bacall
Lauren Bacall, the iconic actress whose acting life transcended time, passed away this week.
People idolized Bacall for her films, her voice, her romance with Humphrey Bogart, that scene from “To Have and Have Not” (you know the one), The Look and of course, her overall look.
She taught us so many things about life and about being a woman. One of the most obvious Lauren Bacall life lessons is: the way your present yourself, is important. Not only that, but being true to yourself in the presentation.
She was always confident and always herself, without compromise. Lauren presented herself in the most ladylike, classy, elegant way. And she somehow managed to do it with sultry sex appeal intact. Very intact.
Did you see that strand of pearls in her hands in the picture at the top of this post? We’d like to think that CED would have paired well with Lauren’s no-nonsense attitude and ultimate chic look. We imagine she would have been rather taken with a few pieces like these..
Thank you, Lauren Bacall, you leave us inspired.
Have an infinitely modern day!
