Meanwhile, June and December each get THREE. Some people say if you’re born in a month this multiple birthstones, you get to choose which one represents your birth month. I say, choose them all!

Pearl
Pearls are are the only gems that come from living creatures. They’re also the only gem that doesn’t require any faceting or polishing to reveal their natural beauty. There are so many different types and colors of pearl, you can never go wrong. A timeless, classic choice.
Alexandrite
Discovered in the emerald mines of the Ural Mountains, the Russian tsar, Alexander II, was so intrigued by the stone that it was named after him. Its color is extremely unique, changing from a bluish-green in daylight to a purplish-red/raspberry in artificial, or incandescent light. It’s literally an emerald and a ruby! As you can imagine, it’s exceptionally valuable and quite rare.
Moonstone
The Roman natural historian, Pliny believed the stone’s appearance changed with the phases of the moon, and thus it was named, moonstone. Moonstones display a floating play of light called adularescence. A part of the mineral family called feldspar, if is found in many igneous and metamorphic rocks. Moonstones come in a variety of colors such as green, blue, peach, and champagne.
