Schools are letting out, the weather is heating up and people have vacation on the brain, us included. Being a small business, there’s not always a ton of time for vacation, but it is absolutely necessary to take them occasionally. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of a few of our favorite California vacations. They’re close enough to LA that you’re not spending most of your precious vacation traveling there and back, but rather, getting to enjoy the destination. It is a time to rejuvenate, find some down time, and be inspired. Even jewelry designers need a day off.

Mammoth Mountain
(Pictured above)
The serene beauty just after the snowfall. Great skiing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Mammoth is great for a quick getaway and rejuvenation, outside in the white silence.
Catalina Island
One feels transported to a European sea town in Catalina Island’s Avalon Harbor. It is quaint and has beautiful views, hiking, and also wonderful art deco architecture. The Casino and the art deco Wrigley Memorial are stunning.
Santa Ynez
Santa Ynez is the California version of Tuscany. Not only do they have great wines…the rolling hills, vineyards and trees are lovely.
Yosemite National Park
Every time I turned around it was a postcard view. So breathtaking…I am still daydreaming about the sheer granite, glacier-carved walls that create this valley. Oh, and Mirror Lake? Unbelievable!
British Virgin Islands
Okay, so obviously this is not a California destination, but we have a trip planned here and we’re too excited about it to leave it off our list! Tropical weather, beaches, mountains, coral reefs, pristine waters, sailing, we’re so excited we can hardly stand it. (photo credit: Henry aw at the English language Wikipedia)
