What I wore to the Art Deco Ball in Avalon on Catalina Island last weekend, is a spectacularly accurate, miniaturized version of a diadem by Mauboussin by “Art Deco Jewelry – Heirlooms of Tomorrow” this one depicts a fountain.
The clean lines though more ornate still worked well with my own CED long bar drop earrings. Because we love contrast, though the earrings are paired down and minimal the looks complimented each other, and both went with the dress I was wearing.
A grey satin number 1930’s inspired gathered in the bodice and bias cut so it flared as I walked and danced. So much fun! One does not need a lot of jewels to make a statement. One or two at a time is sometimes all you need to shine. The main thing is it all works together with what you are wearing. What would you wear to an art deco ball?
