We’re excited to announce we are joining the recently launched Diamond Foundry. A San Francisco start up funded by 10 billionaires and Leonardo DiCaprio.
After building plasma reactors and creating a plasma as hot as the outer layer of the sun, after spending hours coding software to run tens of thousands of physics-based simulations, after more than two years of experiments to create the perfect conditions, engineers at the Diamond Foundry have figured out how to create 100% ethical, 100% pure laboratory grown diamonds.
Starting with a tiny sliver of earth-extracted diamond, the minds at Diamond Foundry can use their fiery plasma combined with atoms, to grow diamonds. All with zero carbon footprint. Certified gemologists have been unable to find a difference in mined diamonds and Diamond Foundry grown diamonds.
But we know the difference. At CED, we want to be good global citizens, and as such, it is our responsibility to do all we can to help Earth and humanity. The diamond industry at its best, is a job for people but bad for our earth. The folks at Diamond Foundry decided there had to be a better way. That’s why we are thrilled to partner with them in this exciting, revolutionary venture.
