About five years ago (almost to the day) we wrote a blog entitled, “Going Green: Passing Trend or New Standard?” Well, I think it’s safe to say, going green is here to stay. It has evolved from more than just reusing or recycling cardboard and plastic bottles. I recently read a New York Times article featuring a company who creates new settings in order to reuse old stones. This is a concept I’ve gotten really excited about especially in relation to CED’s latest undertaking #TheCommitmentProject.
Many people have jewelry they don’t wear. It’s not their style anymore, they inherited it, it was a well intentioned gift; there are countless reasons for a person to have a piece that never leaves the jewelry box. Enter CED, here to reuse, recycle, repurpose.
I love to help people express themselves through their jewelry. I love to reduce waste by repurposing, reusing and recycling old stones and gems. I work with you to create a vision for your custom piece, reusing your old stone or gem, and produce a finished piece that you won’t want to stop wearing.
Many of our clients have beautiful stories about how their custom CED piece represents a specific idea or memorial to them. You can visit the Custom tab under Modern Jewelry or visit the Commitment Stories page to read more about CED clients who wanted to reuse, recycle and repurpose their stones.
